The last month was busy for all of us here at Kindred Vines.

It was filled with winemaker visits, events, and, of course, great wine!

Jean-Bernard Grenié of Chateau Angélus visited KVIC last month. It was such a great visit – this is JB in his signature stetson signing the winemakers & owners’ barrel at Dusty’s Cellar in Okemos, Michigan.

We had an amazing Skype call with our CMK Producers over in Tuscany, Italy in the KVIC Conference Room!

Domaine du Grand Tinel

Two longstanding and well known families of Chateauneuf du Pape,Jeune and Establet, who can trace their ancestors back to the 14th century, united their properties by a marriage between Christiane Establet and Pierre Elie Jeune in the 1960’s, and the Domaine du Grand Tinel was established in 1972. Today, Christophe, Beatrice, and Isabelle Jeune continue the family tradition of producing great wines of the region.

Moris Farms

The Moris family has dedicated itself for generations to agriculture and has over the years increased their interest and specialization in viticulture. Operated by Dr. Adolfo Parentini, husband of Caterina Moris, the estate is considered by many as one of the top producers in the area known as Maremma.

Domaine Chanzy

 In 1974 Catherine and Daniel Chanzy came to Bouzeron at the top of the Côte Chalonnaise. Their domainequickly grew, and more vines were added to the initial eight hectares. In 1979 a new cellar – 60 meters long – was built, and in 1987 yet another one. Then in 1997 a new cuverie was built, together with a laboratory.
