Château Begadan

Château Begadan

Country of Origin:

This modest property in the heart of the Médoc is run by Monsieur and Madame Salette, the fifth generation of vignerons to make wine at the estate. The wines are made using sustainable, traditional agricultural methods, and much of the work is still done by hand. The vineyard is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Cru Artisan classification is only given to independently owned Chateau’s that offer consistently high quality wine. Since 2006, the French government has given just 44 Chateau’s the exclusive Cru Artisan designation, making it even more exclusive than Cru Bourgeois.
