About
Saint-Emilion, a medieval village in the UNESCO heritage, is historically famous around the world for its prestigious appellation sources of the greatest wines. It is a village steeped in history whose reputation was built thanks to men and women who have continued to defend their differences. Testimonies have said that the wine of Saint-Emilion was served on the tables of monarchs since at least the 13th century. The kings of England have said that wines of the region were called the nectar of the gods.

In 1966, the winery was recognized as a producer group. At this point in time its activity stretched over the 8 towns of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) "Saint-Emilion": Saint-Emilion, Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse, Saint-Hippolyte Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, Saint-Pey-D'armens, Vignonet and Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens. Today, the Farmers Union represents just over 12% of all AOC Saint-Emilion.

Over the years, the Farmers Union of Saint-Emilion has continued to work on the quality of its products. This is evidenced by the recognition of its commitment, thanks to the certifications it has obtained: ISO 9001 Version 2000 AgriConfiance certifications, International Food Standard and the British Retail Consortium) More recently, in 2011, it validates the ISO 14001 certification with the first association for Environmental Management System of Bordeaux wine.
