  • Winemaker Notes Just a few kilometers southwest of Colmar, the Zinck winery is located in Eguisheim, one of the loveliest villages in Alsace. Sheltered by the Vosges Mountains, the climate is semi-continental, quite sunny, temperate and dry. The winery is now run by Phillipe and Pascale Zinck.

The vineyards cover over 20 hectares and produce wines with labels guaranteeing the origin of the wine, AOC. These include AOC Alsace, AOC Grand Cru, AOC Crémant of Alsace, and special mentions for the late harvest and grains nobles.
  • Tasting Notes Amazing with grilled and raw fish, caviar and shellfish.
  • Press 93 Points Wine Enthusiast; 91 Points Wine Spectator; Silver Medal - Riesling du Monde 2012; Bronze Medal Decanter WWA 2012; International Wine Challenge 2012
  • Vineyard Located in Eguisheim, the calcareous clay soil of the Eichberg Grand Cru vineyards develops rich, opulent wines built up on solid minerality. Soils are chalk and clay.
  • Vinification Harvested by hand, pneumatic press, static must settling, Alcoholic fermentation in stainless, steel tanks with individual
heating/refrigeration system, Maturation on the lees until next
    spring.
  • Viticulture Each Grand Cru is unique because it is cultivated on one of the very best parcels in Alsace, chosen for the soil, aspect and altitude. The Grands Crus parcels, Eichberg and Pfersigberg, are located on the hillsides near Eguisheim; the Goldert is in Gueberschwihr and the Rangen, in Thann.
