  • Winemaker Notes The long history of Château Beaumont dates back to the late 18th Century. After passing through the illustrious hands of various Lieutenant Colonels, Senators, and an ambitious industrialist, it eventually came to Bernard Soulas in the eighties who completely redeveloped the vineyard and Château. In 1986, it was acquired by the current owners, Société Grands Millésimes de France.
  • Tasting Notes The wine displays a beautiful, semi-opaque red hue. A solidly structured wine that displays its strength of character initially in an elegant bouquet of berried fruits (cassis, raspberry), toast and spices, it goes on to reveal a beautifully balanced palate with smooth, fine tannins. A rich, harmonious wine. This wine will age well.
  • Vineyard The vineyard, all in one piece and lying entirely on lovely, well-drained, gravel hills, well deserves its name Beaumont (beautiful mountain); it is planted with the best premium grapes. The planting is constituted of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and the rest is divided between Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Average age of the vines is 20 years.

Since 2004, the vineyards have been managed sustainably, on the environmentally friendly principles of the Terra Vitis organization. This has led to a dramatic reduction in the use of chemicals and allowed for complete traceability
  • Vinification Harvested by machine. Château Beaumont wines are aged for 14 months in oak barrels, of which one third are renewed every year, and fined with egg whites. 600.000 bottles/year.
