  • Winemaker Notes Chateau Robin is an ancient estate near the picturesque, historic village of Saint-Emilion, 22 miles northeast of Bordeaux. In 2003, Jean and Laurence Caille bought Chateau Robin. The wine produced under their ownership has been honored by the press that classifies it within the best of its AOC.
  • Tasting Notes Youthful red with ruby and purple tints. A generous nose of red and black fruit, and a silky, supple mouth full of charm with a fresh finish. The high percentage of Merlot lends a feminine suppleness and delicate, fleshy character to the wine. A great accompaniment to the Sunday roast chicken, hearty meat dishes and strong cheeses.
  • Vineyard A small property in the commune of Abzac, run for more than three generations by the Lassagne family. Their sandy and clayey soils are remarkably well exposed and drained. Average vine age of 30-40 years
  • Vinification Grapes are carefully sorted after harvest. The vinification is traditional with 2-3 weeks of maceration, six months aging in vat with racking every two months.
