  • Winemaker Notes In the early twentieth century, it was customary for the great château in the Medòc to produce a few barrels of white wine, reserved for the personal consumption of their owners. This was the case at Château Palmer until the 1930s. A pleasant surprise and relic of this era, two bottles of Château Palmer white wine from the 1925 vintage, the trace of which had been lost, were found at the end of the 1990s at the home of a French collector. In the early 2000s, to perpetuate this tradition, a few stock of these long-forgotten white wine vines were replanted: Muscadelle, Sauvignon Gris and Loset. The Vin Blanc de Palmer has been produced in limited quantity since 2007, for the owners and guests of the estate.

  • Tasting Notes Golden straw color. The wine has an attractive, charming fragrance with citrus and fruity notes. The taste of the wine is fresh, luxurious, enveloping with notes of white fruit and citrus, with good acidity and a long finish. This wine is perfectly suited as an apertif, as well as perfectly revealed in combination white appetizers, dishes of fish, shellfish, poultry, wine, and meat. Serve between 10-12°C.
  • Vineyard Situated in the heart of the Margaux appellation, the vineyards of Château Palmer are divided into three zones, all planted on gravel soil with clay subsoil that produces the world renowned wines of the Médoc.
  • Vinification Aged in the same way as all Palmer wines (French oak and fined with fresh egg whites), it acquires the same ageing characteristics. The wine spends 17 months in barrel, 20%-25% of which are renewed each year. To ensure that the oak flavors do not dominate, the barrels are lightly toasted, allowing the natural oak tannins to add subtle aromas, while preserving the fat and allowing the young, fresh fruit aromas to come through.
