WINEMAKER NOTES
A cousin of Laurence Feraud of Domain du Pegau, Eddie Feraud’s wines are splendidly located in vineyards with rich history. Give bottles a handful of years in the cellar and drink through 2024.
TASTING NOTES
This is more tight and closed than the classic cuvée and offers lots of blue fruits, scorched earth, pepper, and crushed rock notes. It’s medium-bodied, similarly concentrated to the base cuvée, yet has more notable structure.
VINEYARD
- Age of Vines: 40+ years
VINIFICATION
- Vinification: Slightly pressed then fermented for 25 days in cement vats
PRESS
“As with the 2015s, the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Raisins Bleus is more tight and closed than the classic cuvée and offers lots of blue fruits, scorched earth, pepper and crushed rock aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied, similarly concentrated to the base cuvée, yet has more notable structure. Give bottles a handful of years in the cellar and drink through 2024.” – 89+ points, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate
