WINEMAKER NOTES
Domaine Thibert Pere et Fils has a strong terroir identity and a combination of purity, opulence, concentration, and minerality that makes their wines attractive both in their youth, and after many years in the cellar. It is now run by husband and wife team, Christophe and Catherine Thibert.
TASTING NOTES
Loads of citrus up front, with lemon and a touch of salinity. Alive in the mouth and intensified by vibrant acidity; just this side of tart on the finish. Aromas of candied yellow fruits, stone fruits, and flowers. Very refreshing now, and may yet expand with another year or two in the bottle.
VINEYARD
Born to more than 7 generations of winemakers, the Thiberts created Domaine Thibert Pere et Fils in 1967 and have now grown the vineyard to approximately 55 acres of mostly Chardonnay vineyards distributed over all the appellations of the Southern Mâconnais.
