WINEMAKER NOTES
Mercurey is the 3rd largest village vineyard of Burgundy after Chablis and Gevrey-Chambertin. Its wines are floral and mineral, well balanced with little oak.
TASTING NOTES
A fresh and developed nose. On the palate, a good attach with mineral and white flower aromas. Dry white wine with a good acidity balance and a pleasant finish. A touch of spice, tangy orange peel, and plenty of acidity at the end.
PAIRING SUGGESTIONS
It is best drunk fresh, at 8-10 degrees Celsius, with poultry, shellfish, or seafood.
VINEYARD
- Soil: clayed limestone
- Classification: AOC Mercurey, Burgundy Region
VINIFICATION
The bunches are quickly pressed and the juice is being put into a stainless-steel vat for maceration during 10 days. The wine is left to age in stainless-tanks during a few months, and then bottled. It can age in a cellar up to 5 years.
